- These opportunities are for members of Friends of Alaska National Wildlife Refuges. You can join our organization by filling out and mailing the membership form from this website to the Friends address in Anchorage. The Opportunities Application form is available here and must be completed and either e-mailed to apply@alaskarefugefriends.org or mailed to Betty Siegel, Volunteer Coordinator, P.O. Box 357, Homer, Alaska 99603. Phone 907 235 1598.
- The volunteers who attend and assist with these events are requested to give a short presentation either at one of our monthly teleconferences or at our Annual Meeting detailing what was done, how well it worked out, and what could be done to improve the process . This will be of great help for future events.
- A volunteer agreement for refuge work must be on file with the Friends group prior to any travel. All travel within Alaska pertaining to these opportunities is covered by our grant.
To apply for one of the listed opportunities, please complete and return a Volunteer application (PDF), or fill in the Online Volunteer Application.
Please contact the individuals listed in the project descriptions for more information.
