Poppy Benson pulls weeds during Typhoon Ioke
In Early September, 2006,
Friends volunteers Penny Bauder, Poppy Benson, Suzi Goldoff and Wayne Stanley spoke to Unalaska community and school groups, educating and creating awarness of invasive plant species. Presentations
were given at the museum and at the high school on invasive weeds and methods of control and eradication. Control methods were demonstrated in the community through pulling and bagging invasive weeds.
